BLU-V System

For differentiation of live and dead cells

The BLU-V System allows the neutralization of the DNA of dead organisms through the use of photo-activation on intercalating agents. Neutralizing the DNA of dead organisms allows the downstream detection of DNA of living cells by conventional PCR or real-time PCR.

The BLU-V System is a thermally stable instrument that generates a constant and uniform light dosage to allow simultaneous photo-activation of 12 Propidium Monoazide (PMA) treated samples, permitting differentiation of live and dead microorganisms.
